Shaban Atiku, the aide of Arua Municipality Member of Parliament, Kassiano Wadri who was tortured during the infamous Arua chaos is flooded in tears after failing to raise money for his surgery.

While appearing on NBS Television, distressed Atiku cried out to the public for financial support so as to get surgery for his “rotting bones.”

According to Atiku, doctors asked him for sum of Shs2.7million to save his life from rotten bones and broken ribs. And he was given an ultimatum of up to February lest he is amputated.

Atiku is one of the 33 people that were charged with treason for allegedly pelting the Presidential convoy with stones on the eve of the Arua Municipality by-election.

During the fracas, Atiku is said to have suffered five broken ribs and damaged spinal cord which he claims was orchestrated by the former Regional Police Commander, Jonathan Musinguzi during the raid on Royal Hotel on August 13.
