Budadiri County West Member of Parliament, Nandala Mafabi has said that by the end of the directed 14-days curfew across the country, the population will have benefited a lot more than they thought in terms of health.

Nandala said there are so many advantages of the curfew because people are now walking from their homes to banks and markets among other places.

“People who never used to walk can now walk. There is physical fitness and I think the issue of hypertension and diabetes is going to go away,” Nandala said while appearing on NTV’s On The Spot show.

On the Shs304 billion supplementary budget that is being discussed in Parliament, Nandala believes there is a misallocation of funds.

“Right now the budget which we are going to pass according to Parliament must be passed by next week. But is this a necessity? Why don’t we shift this money to the Ministry of Health?” Nandala said.

He equated those planning to steal the money to ‘COVID-19.’

“Anyone who steals money for COVID-19 should become COVID-19 because this money should be purposely used to equip the health sector,” he said.
