Masaka Magistrates’ Court Grade One Magistrate, Grace Wakooli has remanded Joseph Nuwashaba, 22, a man who wanted to gift Speaker Kadaga a human head of a child.

According to the charge sheet, Nuwashaba allegedly raped and beheaded Faith Kyamagero, a 5-year-old girl. Wakooli charged him with three counts of murder, aggravated defilement and child trafficking.

Wakooli declined him from taking plea to the same, saying the offences were capital in nature and only tried by the High Court.

The Magistrate also cautioned the accused to remain silent until his committal to the High Court where he will be free to air his defence and say whatever he ought too.

Nuwashaba was arrested by Police last week as he tried to make his way into Parliament. He was intercepted by police officers who checked the gift which he claimed he was taking to the Speaker.
