Police has arrested a one Katumba Vincent aged 35 for allegedly murdering Rev.Kasambula Josephat aged 65years, the Parish Priest of Lwamata Catholic Parish Kiboga Dist. on 18/08/2021 at lukunyu vil, kyegonza sub county Gomba District.
Rev Fr Joshephat Kasambula of Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese was murdered in cold blood as he had gone one to supervise works on his land in Lukunyu Village and the said killer is said to have been illegally staying on the mentioned land.
On arrival Fr Josephat asked the suspected killer who had authorised him to access the land and the house on it but unfortunately he was stubbed in the back and died instantly.
Police took his body for post-mortem as the search and investigation into the matter continues. The arrested suspect will face murder charges.
