City pastor and former presidential candidate Joseph Kabuleeta has said that though it’s a good gesture to host refugees, Uganda should first learn how to prioritise it’s citizens more than anyone else.
According to Kabuleeta, the government must give strict conditions to countries or organisations that  request them to host refugees.
He explained that the UN should maybe also look after the host communities on top of the refugees so that the people don’t feel bad when the refugees are being taken care of.

Kabuleeta accused the regime of prioritising refugees compared to citizens.
“There is no place in the world where a visitor ends up in the master bedroom. There have already been clashes in the refugee-hosting communities,” he said.

“The truth is we have a refugee policy that’s not sustainable. The host communities here are angry, and it’s going to cause a crisis here.We have porous borders. We have many refugees who are not registered. The 1.4 million refugees being talked about are just a tip of the iceberg. The real problem is the porous borders,” he added.
