Noah Njuki, Entebbe RDC has announced that Boda Boda and Taxi operators plus those going to churches or mosques will be required to present vaccination cards before they can proceed to work or go for prayers.

Njuki says the move is intended for a good cause of mobilizing the public to go for vaccination.

In his last address about COVID-19, President Kaguta Museveni warned district leaders who fail to mobilize residents to go for vaccination

“In any district where vaccines expire, the RDC, CAO, and DHO will be sacked,” said Museveni.

Njuki is known for being a hands-on official as last year he was hard on enforcing presential directives.

In one interview, he was quoted saying; “In Entebbe, we are more than ready to enforce the Presidential directives. If a car should have three occupants, the fourth occupant will be arrested alongside the driver.”

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in partnership with various institutions is currently enrolling mass vaccination in different parts of the country. The country is targeting to fully vaccinate at least 4.8 million people to be able to fully open up the economy.
