Charles Twiine, the CID spokesperson has revealed that the Police IT department finally traced the owner of the Facebook page that announced the Inspector General of Police Othoth Ochola dead.
Speaking during the weekly security briefing, Twiine said that the person behind the page is a 17-year-old boy.
He disclosed that the boy was interrogated and cautioned before the IGP decided to forgive him, considering he is a minor.
Following reports of the death of Deputy IGP Gen Paul Lokech in September, the police chief is said to have developed hypertension after the shocking news.
A few days later, false reports circulated announcing Ochola ‘dead’.
