Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta has today lifted a nationwide curfew, which was instigated in March last year as one of the measures to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, with immediate effect.

“I hereby order & direct the nationwide dusk-dawn curfew to be vacated with immediate effect,” said Kenyatta.

Kenya’s nationwide curfew has been running from 10 pm-4 am.
