Police release CCTV footage of boda boda accidents in Kampala

Police has released a compilation of CCTV footage of boda boda accidents in Kampala and its suburbs.

The video shows the numerous accidents that have happened in Kampala since the start of this month.

In the video, the majority of the accidents seem to be a result of careless riding.

In the 2021 Annual Crime and Traffic/Road Safety Report that was released in May this year, of the 4,159 road accident fatalities countrywide, 1,390 were motorcyclists, while 528 were passengers on motorcycles.

A survey by Uganda Road Fund also indicated that only one in every 10 riders received riding training from a professional instructor.
