Museveni makes major changes in army

President Yoweri Museveni, the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces has made some changes in the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).

Among the changes announced by the army spokesperson Brig Gen Felix Kulaigye, former military police commander Maj Gen Don Williams Nabasa appointed 3rd Infantry Division Commander.

Brig Gen James Kinalwa has been appointed Chief of Personnel & Administration while Brig Gen Eugene Ssenkumba is the new head of the National Emergency coord Centre (OPM).

In other changes, Brig Gen William Beinomugisha is the new Commander of Military Police while Brig Gen Micheal Kabango has been appointed 4th Infantry Division Commander.

Additionally, Brig Gen Keith Katungi has been appointed 5th Infantry Commander.
