Five armed thugs attack coffee factory manager, steal Shs50 million

Police in Kyotera are hunting for armed thugs who attacked the manager of Mazima Bugaga Coffee Factory.

According to a police statement, five armed robbers attacked the factory manager on Tuesday, stealing Shs50 million.

Officers quickly responded and pursued the suspects along the Kyotera–Masaka road.

The chase ended in Kizigo Village, where a confrontation occurred. During the encounter, one of the suspects, identified as Ssenyuumu Lawrence, was shot and killed. The remaining four managed to escape and are currently on the run.

Police recovered two firearms, a motorcycle, and other crucial exhibits from the scene.

A manhunt has been launched to track down the remaining suspects. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities that could aid the ongoing investigation.
