Police at Kira Road are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old woman who was allegedly robbed and strangled in her apartment in Kyanja, a Kampala suburb.
The victim has been identified as Namulinde Diana, also known as Diana Skyz, a businesswoman and TikTok content creator. She lived alone in an apartment located in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire, the incident occurred on the night of February 3, 2026. Her body was discovered the following day after friends, who had failed to reach her, went to her residence and found the apartment door open.
Police arrested a security guard attached to the premises earlier on February 4 after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen. Some of the recovered items were later confirmed to belong to the deceased.
Homicide detectives and Scene of Crime Officers visited the apartment, documented the scene and recovered several exhibits. Statements have also been recorded from relevant witnesses.
So far, police have identified three suspects in connection with the murder, with two currently in custody to assist with investigations. The body of the deceased was taken to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Police say investigations are ongoing.
