After a three-month break, The SMACK League returns for its third season this weekend on Sunday July 8. Eighteen teams are already confirmed to take part in this edition, up from 16 teams that participated last season.

WAGs (Wives and Girlfriends) are a common fixture in the stands.

Another change will see games being played at Legends, away from the Bat Valley Primary School which was the venue for the last two seasons.

“The league is getting bigger each season, and so are the venue requirements. We remain indebted to Bat Valley Primary school for hosting us for our first two seasons,” said TSL president Moses Tumusiime.

Bernard Mukasa, head coach of the defending the champions- Devils (Class of 2004) is confident his side will maintain their dominance.

“We have been successful because of the way we prepare and that is where most of the focus has been going into this season. The lads are fit and ready to go.”
