Photos: Rugby Cranes 7s endure being ‘single’ and other sacrifices at their Guinness sendoff party

The Guinness sponsored Uganda Rugby Cranes 7s team is expected to set off for Dubai tomorrow, Sunday March 31, 2019, to play in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series qualifiers .

Acting on the knowledge that victory comes at a huge cost, the Uganda Rugby Cranes 7s players have pursued a ‘single life’ over the last few days. And it was in that state (without their partners) that they turned up yesterday for their Guinness send-off party held at 7s Lounge in Industrial Area, Nakawa. The national 7s side showed that they are sidelining their personal priorities for the good of the team, and it was evident that they were really sacrificing as they tried to enjoy the party in some sort of ‘bull party’ while other guests enjoyed the company of ladies.

The boys didn’t only ignore their soul-mates, they also continued to observe a freeze on their consumption of their favorite liquor brands until HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series qualifiers are done. Many whispered to us that they will hungrily grab their favourite Guinness immediately the HSBC World Sevens qualifiers are done.
