Vipers Sports Club will today evening play hosts to Uganda Premier League record champions Sports Club Villa at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

The cracker carries lots of anticipations as both sides will be yearning to walk away with the bragging rights at the blow of the final whistle. Vipers who are hungry for this season’s title will be aiming at maintaining or stretching their seven-point lead at the top of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League table.

The Venoms coach Moses Golola is aware of the scare Villa can cause as he admitted that in the opening two games of the second round, his boys have been affected by tension hence failing to convert most the chances they create.

The Jogoos travel to Kitende on a losing spree from the opening two games of the second round. However, their last visit 3-1 triumphant performance at the artificial turf last year can be an inspiration to fight for maximum points at St Mary’s.

Villa has not yet scored a goal in the second round and this tie will determine their capability of returning to their good first round form.

Vipers thumped rock bottomed Proline FC 4-2 while Busoga United defeated Villa 1-0 earlier this week.
