Uganda Cranes’ attacking midfielder, Allan Okello, has bid farewell to his Algerian club, Paradou Athletic Club (AC). In a statement posted on his official social media channels, Okello announced that he and the club have reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.

“I believe this is the right move for both parties, and I am eagerly looking forward to the next chapter in my career,” Okello expressed in the statement.

The talented midfielder burst onto the scene while playing for KCCA FC under Mike Mutebi, making his debut in February 2017 with a sensational hattrick against Onduparaka FC in a memorable 7-1 victory for the Kasasiro Boys.

His stellar performances soon attracted the interest of clubs beyond Uganda’s borders, and in 2020, Paradou AC secured his signature on a four-year deal. Despite this move, Okello found himself back on loan at KCCA for the previous season, where he made a significant impact with eight league assists and five goals before concluding his stint at Lugogo.

Unfortunately, the 23-year-old rising star has been reportedly grappling with a persistent knee injury over the past two years, dampening his prospects. Reports now indicate that he may require surgery to return to his peak performance level.

As Okello bids farewell to Paradou AC, fans eagerly await news of his next destination and hope to witness his exceptional talent shine once more on the football pitch.
