Equity Group Holdings posted a 17% growth in Profit After Tax to Kshs. 34.6 billion up from Kshs. 29.6 billion for the period ended 30th June 2025, achieving its strongest quarterly performance in history with a Profit Before Tax of Kshs. 22.9 billion in Q2 2025. Total assets grew by 3% year on year to Kshs. 1.8 trillion, while customer deposits rose by 2% to Kshs. 1.32 trillion. Net loans increased by 4% year on year to Kshs. 825.1 billion. Regional subsidiaries contributed 49% of total deposits, 50% of the loan book, and 46% of profit before tax, with markets such as DRC, Rwanda, Uganda, and Tanzania recording strong growth in profitability, deposits, and loans. This performance underscores Equity’s successful transformation from a Kenyan bank into a regional financial powerhouse with an expanding footprint across East and Central Africa.

Equity Group Holdings has registered 12% growth in Profit After Tax to USh 1.39 trillion up from USh 1.24 trillion for the period ended 31st December 2024, reinforcing the continued success of the Group’s diversified business model and prudent financial management. The Group’s Profit Before Tax grew by 17% to USh 1.73 trillion, while Earnings Per Share (EPS) rose by 11% to USh 351. Regional operations contributed 49% of total assets and 54% of profit before tax. As a demonstration of commitment to its shareholders, the Group proposed a dividend of USh 121 per share, a payout ratio of 34.5%, reinforcing its track record of delivering value to its shareholders.
