FDC supporters ‘plead’ with Besigye to contest for presidency in 2021

The political heat is currently very intense at Najjanankumbi, the headquarters of Uganda’s strongest opposition party Forum for Democratic Change. 

One of the founders and four-time presidential candidate on the FDC ticket, Dr Kizza Besigye has been almost blocked from the podium where he was supposed to address them, which supporters saying he should first pick the nomination forms.

The FDC supporters ‘plead’ with Dr Kizza Besigye to contest for presidency in the forthcoming election as they claimed he’s the only one who can defeat incumbent President Yoweri Museveni.

Besigye however, calmed them done as he requested them to first let them deliver his address.

Before Besigye made his way to the party headquarters, FDC party President, Patrick Oboi Amuriat earlier picked nomination forms for party presidential flag-bearer. He joins Wasswa Birigwa, the FDC National Chairperson who picked forms for the party presidential race yesterday.
