The Kyabazinga of Busoga, His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV, and his wife, Inebantu Jovia Mutesi, have welcomed their third child, a baby boy named Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah.

The royal family announced that the prince was born on 1 November 2026, which is also the Kyabazinga’s birthday, making the occasion particularly special for the royal couple.

In a statement shared on the Kyabazinga’s official social media platforms, the royal family announced the birth of their third son and confirmed that both the newborn prince and the Inebantu were in excellent health.

The statement read: “His Majesty William Gabula Nadiope IV, the Kyabazinga of Busoga, and Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi, the Inhebantu of Busoga, proudly announce the birth of their third son, Prince Nadiope Ezra Josiah, who was born on 1st November 2026.”

It added that the newborn shares his birthday with his father, describing the coincidence as a special moment for the royal family and the Kingdom of Busoga.

The couple’s latest addition joins their first children, twin boys Prince William Ethan Nadiope and Prince Arnold Eli Nadiope, who were born on 27 August 2025.

The birth comes three years after the Kyabazinga and Jovia Mutesi formalised their marriage in November 2023 in a royal wedding held at Christ Cathedral, Bugembe, in Jinja.

The ceremony, which was presided over by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev Stephen Kazimba Mugalu, was the first royal wedding in Busoga since 1956.
