MultiChoice Uganda has introduced a new customer reward campaign that gives DStv and GOtv subscribers a free upgrade at the start of the year. The campaign, dubbed “We Got You,” is designed to offer more entertainment to customers at a time when household expenses are rising and routines are getting busier.

Under the promotion, subscribers who stay connected during January and February will automatically receive an upgrade to the next package at no extra cost. Customers only need to pay for their usual DStv or GOtv package, and the upgrade is applied automatically as a bonus.

The offer runs from 01 January to 28 February and applies to existing active subscribers, customers who reconnect their accounts, as well as new subscribers joining DStv or GOtv for the first time. As long as the full package payment is made, the upgrade follows without any additional steps.

According to MultiChoice Uganda, the campaign is meant to support families as they settle into the new year. With schools reopening and budgets tightening, the company says the free upgrade is a way of easing pressure by giving households more channels and more entertainment for the same price.

MultiChoice Uganda’s PR and Communications Manager, Rinaldi Jamugisa, said the campaign is a gesture of appreciation to loyal customers. He explained that the company wants subscribers to begin the year feeling valued, with access to more content, more shared moments, and better value for their money.

“This upgrade is our way of appreciating the families who choose DStv and GOtv every day,” Jamugisa said. Adding: “We want our subscribers to step into the year with a sense of hope and real value. When you pay for your DStv or GOtv package, we give you more – more channels, more moments to enjoy together and more reasons to keep watching.”

Customers can pay or reconnect using familiar and convenient options such as the MyDStv or MyGOtv app, mobile money services, banks, ATMs, USSD codes, card payments, or walk-in agents. Once payment is made, the system automatically upgrades the subscriber to the next package level.
