Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage will be on her way to Uganda as she has confirmed that she will be performing in Kampala at Lugogo cricket Oval this April.

Tiwa Savage confirmed these facts last evening on social media.

In her post, she confirmed that she will perform at one of the biggest music venues in the country, Lugogo Cricket Oval, on 22nd April 2022.

The ‘Somebody’s Son’ singer noted that she will be bringing the vibe and energy to Uganda’s capital.

“Muli mutya Uganda (How are you Uganda), Get ready, because I am bringing the vibe and energy to your city, see you soon,” Tiwa’s Facebook post reads.

This is going to be her second time performing in Uganda. In March 2015, the singer, who was then heavily pregnant, left her Ugandan fans with an unforgettable performance at Kati-Kati Grounds, Lugogo.

Uganda has already turned into a top destination for several Nigerian and international stars in the past few months.

While some people look at the frequent nods by Ugandan promoters towards Nigerian artistes as the addition of spectacle to Uganda’s already capital reputation, critics look at it as the suffocation of Ugandan talent that is being sidelined in favor of West African stars.
