Ugandan hip-hop artist The MITH is set to host The So UG Experience, a live music event celebrating Ugandan music, culture and identity, on 14 November 2026 at Kati Kati Grounds in Kampala. The event is organised by House of Deejays and Fenon Events.
The event, themed around “A Flight to Uganda”, will take audiences through the artist’s musical journey and his interpretation of what it means to be Ugandan.
THE MITH, also known as Mr So UG, said the event would bring people together to celebrate the country’s stories, creativity and cultural heritage through music.
The concert will feature performances by several Ugandan artists, including Lilian Mbabazi, Maurice Kirya, Navio, Elijah Kitaka, Feffe, Winnie Nwagi, BigTril and Flex D’Paper, among others.
THE MITH began his career as a member of Klear Kut, one of Uganda’s pioneering hip-hop groups, before establishing himself as a solo artist. His music explores identity, social issues and everyday African experiences.
His album THE UGANDAN Vol. 2: BALI-OKWABWE, released in July 2025, won Album of the Year at the Uganda Hip-Hop Awards 2025, further cementing his place in Uganda’s hip-hop scene.
Beyond music, the artist has continued to promote Ugandan creativity and identity through initiatives such as The So UG Podcast.
Speaking about the upcoming event, THE MITH said he wanted audiences to feel proud of their roots and appreciate the country’s cultural diversity.
“Ugandan music and culture have so much to offer. I want people to come to this experience and feel proud, feel connected and leave with a deeper appreciation of our stories,” he said.
