A full day of memorial activities has been organized in Kampala to celebrate the life and impact of Rajiv Ruparelia, with a strong focus on service, community, and continuing the causes he cared about.
Branded “Remembering RR,” the events will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2026, drawing together family, friends, and members of the public to honour a legacy that reached far beyond business.
The day will start with a prosthetic leg donation drive at 10:30 AM at Mulago National Referral Hospital under the Orthopaedics Department. The initiative aims to give recipients a second chance at mobility, reflecting Rajiv’s hands-on approach to improving lives in practical ways.

Later in the afternoon, supporters will gather for a memorial drive beginning at 2:30 PM from Pearl Business Park. The procession is expected to serve as a powerful tribute, bringing together motorists and well-wishers in a show of unity and remembrance.
The commemorations will end with a candle-lighting ceremony at 5:30 PM at Speke Resort Munyonyo, offering a calm and reflective space for attendees to honour his life and the values he stood for.
Organisers say the programme is designed not just to remember Rajiv, but to carry forward his vision of uplifting communities. Guided by the theme “Restoring Hope, Honouring a Legacy, Changing Lives,” the events aim to turn remembrance into meaningful action.
