Speke Resort Munyonyo boosts staff skills with intensive training programme

Speke Resort Munyonyo has rolled out a new staff training programme aimed at strengthening service delivery and improving the overall guest experience.

The training, conducted last week, focused on equipping employees with practical skills needed to maintain world-class hospitality standards.

Management said the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to ensure consistent excellence in service.

“We resumed our in-house staff training sessions, empowering our team with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to consistently deliver world-class service and exceptional guest experiences,” the resort said in a statement.

In addition to customer service development, staff also participated in a comprehensive fire and safety training session. The exercise was designed to prepare employees to respond effectively in emergency situations while maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.

Speke Resort and Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo is widely recognised as Uganda’s largest and most luxurious hospitality destination. It offers a variety of high-end accommodation options, including Presidential Suites, Presidential Cottages, Executive Rooms and Superior Rooms, all featuring refined interiors and scenic views of Lake Victoria and the resort’s landscaped tropical gardens.

Part of the Ruparelia Group, the resort is also known for hosting major international conferences and events, supported by some of the largest and most advanced conference facilities in East and Central Africa, alongside a wide range of premium leisure amenities.
