Social media was awash with all sorts of insinuations and allegations after it emerged that singer Eddy Kenzo was sick and had been admitted at Case Clinic in Kampala. Kenzo’s situation was so serious that he even had to miss the One Africa Music festival that happened on Saturday June 2 at Wembley Stadium in London, UK.

Although doctors diagnosed fatigue as the cause of Kenzo’s condition, different bloggers and gossip sites made all sorts of wild allegations concerning Kenzo’s health condition. And even before he was discharged, Kenzo was forced to share his HIV results on social media, just to prove a point to the bloggers.

Now, singer Rema has also come out to clear the air about her ‘Taata Amal’. “Taata Amal is now much better and ready to resume work after having some good rest. You see, he has been working so hard and he wasn’t having meals on time. Sometimes he would actually not eat. So his body became a bit weak and he needed some good rest, as well as spend some days eating well, and on time,” Rema explained.

Rema dismissed any allegations that pointed at Kenzo’s having any serious ailment; “Those people simply lack what to do; Taata Amal is a very healthy man! But again he’s only human, his body tires,” Rema said.
