Today is Day Four of Uganda’s 14-day lockdown in a bid to fight COVID-19 pandemic and masses are doing all kinds of activities to kill the boredom. Leone Island’s singing doctor Joseph Mayanja aka Jose Chameleone is reportedly using this time to beef-up his academic curriculum vitae (CV).

In February this year, Chameleone was among the candidates that got their Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education results (UACE). He sat his Senior Six from at Katuuso Community Secondary School in Makindye division, Kampala and scored 12 points.

The singer scored four points in History, four in Fine Art and two in Christian Religious Education (CRE). He then got principal passes in General Paper and Computer Studies. The results made the 2021 Kampala Mayoral hopeful eligible to run.

Speaking during an interview on NTV this morning, Chameleone revealed how he is enrolling for a degree online.

“This period has really given us a lot of time. We, music artistes, are now making new music because of the time that we have right now. In fact, I am studying online for a degree in International Diplomacy,” Chameleone said.

Chameleone urged the public to continue abiding by the government directives. And the politicians who want to help the needy should do the same.

“I appreciate the politicians who have been trying to help people in this COVID-19 period. But we need to follow the rules because our efforts create crowds which can spread Coronavirus easily,” he said.
