Singer Jose Chameleone has asked fellow artist King Saha not to prolong their feud, saying that as one of the veteran musicians in the industry, they once exploited feuds but it did not benefit them in any way.

Chameleone, who admits to having hurt Saha with his words, believes there is room for reconciliation.

“King Saha is my son and a very good friend. I know he’s hurt by what I said, but I am also human—I mess up sometimes,” Chameleone said in an audio clip circulating on social media.

He added, “Whatever Saha is saying is coming from the bottom of his heart. I’m not an angel; I can’t always be perfect.”

The veteran singer stated that instead of feuding, they should focus on rebuilding their friendship.

Last week, King Saha, who has long held Chameleone in high regard, expressed deep disappointment in his mentor and former boss at Leone Island, accusing him of having a bad heart.

“Chameleone tried to sabotage my booking in Denmark by telling the promoter not to book me. He has a bad heart. You cannot say you’re my mentor yet you’re trying to bring me down,” Saha said furiously.

Saha’s frustrations went beyond personal attacks. He was also particularly upset by Chameleone’s comments regarding the recent injuries sustained by Bobi Wine. “Bobi gets shot, and Chameleone says it’s his business! This is the same man who went to console Bobi after he lost his brother. It shows a lack of empathy,” Saha said, shaking his head.

The two singers have always respected each other. Let’s hope this disagreement won’t drive them apart, as they are both strong pillars of the Ugandan music industry.
