Singer Sheebah Karungi has said she would not mind being in a polygamous marriage, revealing that she is comfortable being a man’s fourth — or even tenth — wife as long as there is understanding and emotional connection.
Speaking on her podcast, Sheebah explained that love, for her, is more about emotional and mental connection than physical presence or romance.
“As long as you explain it to me and I meet my co-wives and they are nice, I’m okay with it. I’m not even joking. I can be number four, I can even be number 10 because it’s not about romance for me,” she said.
The singer added that she values communication more than constant physical closeness, saying she would have no issue with a partner spending time with other wives as long as they stay emotionally connected.
“My kind of love is mental. If our emotions connect, you can be with your other wives as long as you call me and we talk. I am even open to not seeing you for six months,” she added.
Sheebah’s remarks have revived public discussion about her alleged relationship with UK-based music promoter and businessman Jaffar Suleiman, which has been the subject of speculation for some time.
Last year, leaked audio clips allegedly linked to the singer surfaced online, with many social media users claiming they hinted at her desire to become part of a certain family.
The rumours gained more attention earlier this year during celebrations for the birthday of Sheebah’s son, Amir, when Jaffar publicly confirmed that he is the child’s father.
