UMC Entebbe Branch has officially switched to a 24-hour, 7-day schedule. That means if you get sick at 2am or need help on a Sunday, doctors and nurses will be there.
The hospital says this change is about making healthcare easier to access for people in Entebbe and nearby towns, especially during emergencies when waiting until morning is not an option.

The move comes just after the hospital ran a successful Specialized Orthopedics and Spine Clinic on May 26, 2026.
Dr. Neville Muhumuza led that clinic and treated patients with bone, joint and spine problems. It showed how much the hospital’s specialist care has grown.

Right now, UMC Entebbe Branch already handles general consultations, lab tests, pharmacy, X-rays and ultrasounds, inpatient care, internal medicine, orthopedics and spine care, obstetrics and gynecology, plus emergency and ambulance services. So whether you need a checkup, a scan, medicine, or admission, the team is on duty round the clock.

More services are coming soon. The hospital will soon add eye checkup services through ophthalmology and physiotherapy for patients recovering from injuries or surgery. These will help with early detection of eye problems and faster rehabilitation.

With 24/7 operations and new specialties being added, UMC Entebbe Branch is positioning itself as a reliable, patient-focused hospital for the community. If you need help or have an emergency, you can call +256 741 057740 or visit the hospital at 24 Gowers Road, Entebbe.
