Following last week’s incidents in which state minister for Tourism Godfrey Kiwanda and MPs Judith Nabakooba (Mityana Woman) and James Kakooza (Kabula) were attacked by locals over their support for the lifting of the presidential age limits, government has beefed up security of at least 15 MPs seen to be at risk.

According to The Observer, 15 age limit removal MPs have been given at least five police guards – two each at their Kampala and constituency homes plus one close protection officer.

Also, The Observer reported that the MPs have been advised to excuse themselves from events where they have no control or expect a big presence of opposition supporters.
