Rubaga South MP Kato Lubwama arrested

Police has arrested Rubaga South MP Kato Lubwama for allegedly holding an illegal consultative rally in Nateete. According to reports, Police first blocked Makindye West MP Allan Ssewanyana and Leader of Opposition in Parliament, Winnie Kiiza from accessing the rally venue in Nateete which made Kato to inquire why his fellow legislators were not allowed at the venue.

The Police then turned against Kato Lubwama and arrested him.

The crowd was dispersed by tear gas and live bullets as they turned rowdy following the arrest of the legislator.
