As the public seems to have given up on demanding for CCTV footage of the accident that led to the death of People Power supporter Ritah Nabukenya, Police seems to have got a breakthrough in the shooting of Daniel Kyeyune, who was a People Power supporter.

According to Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, a businessman in Nansana where the incident occurred handed Police footage of the incident which occurred last week. Enanga added that Police will analyze the footage and establish who exactly shot Kyeyune.

“The task team from Kawempe Regional Police Headquarters is still furthering the investigations. They have managed to retrieve some CCTV footage from the area and they are working,” Enanga said.

DEAD: Daniel Kyeyune.

He added, “This morning they gave me a brief that chances were high they would get that footage. It clearly indicated who shot Dan Kyeyune and under what circumstances.”

Kyeyune was killed on Wednesday last week when security personnel opened fire to break up a procession by People Power supporters who were returning from the burial of their colleague Ritah Nabukenya in Kiboga district.
