Justice Monica Kalyegira Mugenyi, the commencement speaker, challenged the graduates to embrace transformational leadership. “Our civic space desperately needs men and women who will not take from their countries but give back; who will not mislead their communities but guide them with integrity,” she asserted.

Cavendish University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Olive Sabiiti took the opportunity to announce the introduction of three new innovation-driven academic programs aimed at meeting global tech demands. The new programs include a Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, a Diploma in Data Science and Analytics, and an Advanced Diploma in Health Leadership and Management. “These programs reflect our commitment to staying relevant in a rapidly evolving world,” Dr. Sabiiti noted.

The ceremony also celebrated the top achievers of the Class of 2024, with Osekeny Luka, Ssenyondo Rowena Tiffany, and Tombong Jawo being recognized as the best students. Brenda Biku led Bobi Wine’s class with an impressive 3.90 CGPA.
