Uganda Cranes third goalkeeper, Salim Jamal is not happy with Hon. Odonga Otto’s accusations of him being among the influencers of the strike that happened in the Cranes camp at AFCON in Egypt.

The Aruu County MP, alleged through a tweet that, “Uganda Cranes got bonuses of $1m (about Shs3.7 billion) from President Museveni on qualifying for AFCON additional $3,000 (about Shs11 million) was given to each player outside the FUFA contract. Wadada, Walusimbi, Allan Kateraga and Salim Jamal please save your image and that of Uganda. Patriotism is not just for soldiers. It’s now about Uganda not individuals.”

Jamal has assured Otto that he swims in lots of dimes at his Sudanese Club, Al-Hilal Club but stopped short of disclosing how much he earns.

“With due respect of your position, I think you had to get the right information from the captain. I earn more than these peanuts monthly. And it’s not tax payer money like what you earn from parliament. Respect my name and get informed well,” Jalim tweeted.

On Wednesday, sanity return to the Cranes camp as all players returned to training ahead of tomorrow’s knockout game against the Lions of Teranga, Senegal.
