Magogo, Cranes players pledge to contribute Shs18m to bail out fined defender Juuko

Uganda Cranes players, technical staff, and FUFA President Moses Magogo have pledged to contribute Shs18 million towards the Shs20 million fine slapped on defender Murushid Juuko.

According to FUFA, Cranes players have pledged Shs8,850,000, Technical team Shs7.3m, and Magogo Shs1,850,000.

Juuko has already contributed Shs1m towards his cause.

The experienced defender was red-carded in the goalless draw at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende after elbowing Mali forward Ibrahim Kone in the second half.FIFA slapped him with a fine OF 5,000 ($ 5414) which is Shs20m.

The 27-year-old had to pay the fine by November 9, something the player failed to do.
