Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has rewarded the Uganda Cranes with Shs30 million following their victory over Libya at Hoima City Stadium.
The money, given through the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), was handed over to Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango by Daudi Kabanda, the Head of the Chairman’s Office.
The reward came after the Cranes defeated Libya in their first match at the newly completed Hoima City Stadium.
The Uganda Cranes have since left Hoima City and travelled to South Africa for two friendly matches against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The team flew from Kabalega International Airport on a Uganda Airlines domestic flight and travelled through Entebbe International Airport before continuing to South Africa.
