Singer Eddy Kenzo is today afternoon at around 1pm expected to return to Uganda. Kenzo has been away for almost a month and a lot happened (good and bad) while he was not here.

However, his fans led by Moto mouth Full Figure are set to give the singer a heroic welcome as they will pick him from Entebbe Airport to a yet unknown location just to celebrate with him for the recent achievement.

T-shirts with a series of taglines like ‘King is back,’ and Uganda’s biggest Export’ among others have already been printed.

Over the weekend on Saturday night, Kenzo won the Best Entertainer of the Year award at the African Entertainment Awards held at Kupfrian Hall, Jim Wise Theater, New Jersey, US.

The Sitya Loss singer beat African entertainers like Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, Nigeria’s Davido, Shatta Wale, Wizkid, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage to the award.

Before his award win, Kenzo dominated the news for his spat with the outspoken religious leader, Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata. He accused Muzaata of violating the rights of his dead mother as he felt insulted when the Sheikh asked young boys who are not yet married to go marry their mothers. At some point Kenzo vowed to camp at Kibuli mosque until Muzaata apologizes.
