Easter at Speke Resort Munyonyo was defined by quiet elegance, with the holiday celebrated through relaxed, family-friendly experiences rather than loud festivities.

From the moment guests arrived, the mood was set by a calm atmosphere across the lakeside property. Subtle festive touches—paired with the scent of fresh food drifting through the gardens—created a warm and inviting environment for families and holidaymakers.

Children were at the heart of the celebrations. The day revolved around activities like egg hunts, a petting zoo, movies, swimming, bouncing castles, and face painting.

The laughter and excitement of the young guests gave the resort a lively yet controlled energy, making it feel festive without being overwhelming.

In the background, soft live music blended seamlessly with natural birdsong from the gardens, adding to the serene setting rather than dominating it. The entertainment remained gentle and well-balanced, allowing conversations and relaxation to take center stage.

For first-time visitors, the experience came with pleasant surprises. The impressive Convention and Events Centre, stretching along the shores of Lake Victoria, stood out as a key attraction, with its modern design drawing admiration.

Food played a central role in the Easter experience. The resort offered a rich buffet combining Ugandan dishes with Indian and continental cuisine.

The variety was carefully curated, with each option complementing the other to reflect the resort’s international appeal while still maintaining local flavor.

At the bar, guests enjoyed a wide selection of wines and spirits, adding to the relaxed holiday mood.

The swimming pool remained a focal point throughout the day. In the afternoon, it drew in swimmers and sun-seekers, while in the evening it transformed into a laid-back social space where guests gathered to unwind, share drinks, and exchange Easter greetings.

A live band provided a steady musical backdrop, enhancing the atmosphere without interrupting the easy flow of conversations.
