Speke Resort Munyonyo has been named Uganda’s Leading Conference Hotel 2026 at the prestigious World Travel Awards, adding another major international recognition to the five-star resort’s growing list of accolades.

The award recognises the resort’s conference facilities, hospitality and ability to host major local and international events.

The resort, which is part of Speke Group of Hotels under the Ruparelia Group, has built its reputation around its ability to accommodate events ranging from small executive meetings to large international conferences.

Its conference facilities include 19 fully equipped conference halls and five outdoor event venues, giving organisers a variety of spaces to choose from depending on the size and nature of their events.

The resort also has the largest conference capacity in East and Central Africa, making it a major destination for large-scale gatherings in the region.

Beyond business and conferences, Speke Resort Munyonyo offers a full luxury hospitality experience, with 477 rooms and suites across nine accommodation categories.

Guests can also choose from five restaurants and two bars, alongside a range of leisure and recreational facilities designed for both business and holiday travellers.

The latest World Travel Awards recognition comes as the resort continues to position itself as a major hub for business tourism and luxury travel in Uganda.

For Speke Resort Munyonyo, the award is also a recognition of its continued investment in conference infrastructure and hospitality as Uganda seeks to strengthen its position as a destination for major international meetings and events.

The resort thanked its guests and partners for being part of its journey, saying the award reflects its commitment to providing exceptional hospitality, high-quality conference facilities and memorable guest experiences.
