All is set for the grand finale of Season 9 of the Kitunga Cranes League this Saturday, September 26, at Africa Coffee Park in Rwashamaire, Ntungamo.
Powered by Guinness, the finale will bring together alumni of Muntuyera High School, Kitunga, for a full day of football, reunion and celebration.
The day will feature two competitions, with the Kitunga Cup kicking off the programme before the main event gets underway in the afternoon.
The main event will see the top four teams from the regular season battle for the Season 9 title. Kimiranku will face Akahuri FC in one semi-final, while Kyasha FC takes on Zone FC in the other, with the winners advancing to the final.
The Kitunga Cup, meanwhile, will feature the other 10 teams from the regular season in a knockout competition. The participating teams are Omuti, Karuma, Kisyanga, Muganga, FC Abadet, Kahonda, Odudua, Aboojo, Enzaza and Kibeya.
Beyond the football, Guinness, a long-standing supporter of alumni leagues, will bring its signature matchday experience to the finale.

From the football to the celebrations afterwards, we want this to make this a finale to remember,” Denise Nazzinda, Senior Brand Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited said.
Guinness will be available at discounted prices during the event, alongside the wider Uganda Breweries Limited portfolio, giving fans an opportunity to enjoy the celebrations throughout the day.
With preparations for the event in the final stages, Kitunga Cranes League President Andrew Tubwomwe said everything is in place for the alumni to return home and celebrate the season with the wider community.
“Preparations have gone well and we are ready for a great finale. We have mobilised the community, and we are looking forward to welcoming the Kitunga Old Boys back home,” Tubwomwe said.
He called on alumni and football fans to turn up, support the teams and be part of the celebrations.
The teams travelling from Kampala are expected to set off on Friday, September 25, joining alumni teams and supporters based in Ntungamo and the surrounding areas.
The finale will also coincide with National Cleaning Day, giving the alumni an opportunity to participate in a community cleaning exercise before heading to Africa Coffee Park for the football programme.
