Victoria University will graduate about 2,500 students during its 10th graduation ceremony scheduled for 19 and 20 October 2026 at Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo, Kampala.
The graduands will receive certificates, diplomas, bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees at the two-day event, held under the theme “The Future Is High”.
Julius Bukyana, the university’s Corporate and Public Relations Manager, said this year’s ceremony would highlight the growing influence of artificial intelligence (AI) and other technologies on education and the workplace.
“In the era of work-integrated learning and artificial intelligence, this year’s graduation ceremony is destined to zoom in on technological advances in education,” Bukyana said.
He added that universities must prepare students for a changing job market by equipping them with practical skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
Victoria University has prioritised work-integrated learning, which combines classroom teaching with practical workplace experience to help students apply their knowledge and prepare for employment.
The university’s leadership says this approach is intended to produce graduates who can meet the demands of employers in Uganda and internationally.
The ceremony will bring together graduands, university officials, academic staff and invited guests to celebrate the students’ achievements.
Victoria University, which began operations in 2013, is a private institution chartered by the National Council for Higher Education and is part of the Ruparelia Group.
