Singer Edirisa Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo has claimed that he deserves to be honored with a doctorate in the art business. The BET award winner says he’s done a lot in the arts sector to deserve this special recognition.

Speaking during an interview on local TV, Kenzo explained, “I believe I should get a doctorate for my work in art. I’ve helped create stars, and they’re even performing on big shows like Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent. Locally, the stars I’ve worked with are filling up stadiums.”

A doctorate is the highest degree given by a university or an authorized educational organization.

Kenzo also talked proudly about his success and long career in the music industry, saying, “I’ve been in the music business for over ten years. That means I really understand music. Education is about learning, and I’ve learned a lot about music. People who say I’m not educated in music probably can’t do what I do, just like I can’t do what they do.”

Kenzo’s assertions come in response to critics questioning his suitability to lead fellow artists in the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF). The federation was reportedly formed to unite artists and fight for their rights.
