Uganda’s Triplets Ghetto Kids will share the stage with Shakira at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Shakira will perform Dai Dai, the official song for the tournament, which she recorded with Nigerian star Burna Boy.

She said she wanted the show to feel “special” and “unforgettable,” and chose the Ghetto Kids to join her performance team.

This will be the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA World Cup final. The match will be held at MetLife Stadium, officially known as New York-New Jersey Stadium, in East Rutherford.

The invitation caps a remarkable rise for the Ghetto Kids, now one of Africa’s most inspiring success stories.

They first went viral with their Sitya Loss dance video, later appeared in French Montana’s Unforgettable, and wowed judges on Britain’s Got Talent in 2023. Their performance adds to Africa’s strong presence at the 2026 World Cup. Burna Boy features on the official anthem, while Rema and Tyla were previously announced for the opening ceremony.
