NBS Television journalist and media executive Dalton Kaweesa is set to add a second master’s degree to his academic qualifications when he graduates with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Uganda Christian University (UCU).
Kaweesa’s latest qualification comes three years after he earned a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University in 2023.

The MBA adds a business and management qualification to his background in journalism and media, as he continues to build a career that has included newsroom leadership, current affairs programming and digital media management.
Kaweesa has worked in the media industry for more than a decade, taking on roles that have involved editorial decision-making, newsroom operations and leadership.
The upcoming graduation has also drawn attention on social media. Kaweesa recently shared a mock graduation video on TikTok, prompting congratulatory messages from followers and colleagues.
“You deserve it. Congratulations, and thank you for your leadership,” one follower commented.
Known for his sharply tailored suits, often complemented by a flower on his lapel, Kaweesa has built a public profile through his work in television journalism and media leadership.
Speaking about his graduation, Kaweesa said the MBA is part of his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
“Honestly, this is about growth. At Next Media, we have a maxim that states, ‘I aim to Learn, Unlearn and Relearn.’ So basically, I keep challenging myself and becoming better at what I do. Balancing work, leadership responsibilities and studies has not always been easy, but the experience has been worthwhile,” he said.
