Israeli national residing in Kalagala Village, Mpigi District, has been arrested by the police on suspicion of murdering his wife. The shocking crime came to light when Waeed Taheed, a manager at Reynolds Construction Company Ltd (RCC), reported his wife Monica Nabukenya missing on July 16, 2023.

During the course of the police investigation, a revelation emerged: Taheed had concealed his wife’s remains in a septic tank within their own compound.

In a police statement, Taheed admitted to killing his wife after receiving DNA test results of their six-month-old child.

The statement revealed that Taheed had harboured suspicions about his wife’s fidelity, prompting him to subject their six-month-old child to a DNA test to determine paternity. The test results came back negative, leaving Taheed devastated.

Upon returning home from the DNA test, intense confrontations erupted between Taheed and his wife. It was during this altercation that he took her life and subsequently attempted to conceal the evidence by hiding her body in the septic tank.

During the police search at Taheed’s residence, the decomposing body of Monica Nabukenya was discovered in the septic tank.
