Police in Wandegeya have arrested two suspects, including a Makerere University student and a staff member, in connection with a break-in and theft at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
The incident happened on Monday at the Postmortem Department building within Makerere University. Officers responded to reports of a break-in and quickly launched investigations at the scene.
To track down the suspects, police deployed a sniffer dog named Boela, which picked up a scent and followed it for about 900 metres to a nearby residential area. The trail led officers directly to a house where two suspects were found.

The suspects were identified as Ochieng David and Wandwali Colline. A search of the house uncovered several items believed to have been stolen from the university, including computers, projectors, office chairs, a printer, electrical cables, and other office equipment.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Ochieng David is both a student at the College of Veterinary Medicine and a worker at the university farm.
Both suspects are currently being held at Makerere University Police Station as police continue with investigations.
