Uganda’s “Muyizi Tasubwa” Farouk Miya has today joined Royal Excel Mouscron club in Belgium. Miya who yesterday scooped the CNN goal of the week will spend the remaining part of the season at Mouscron.

Since striking a deal to Standard Liege in 2016, the rising star has not been able to get playing time at the club. He was even directed to play with the reserves. After joining Mouscron today, he now has a task to prove to his bosses that he is worth being recalled to play for Standard Liege.

Miya’s new club has been fighting for survival in the Belgian Pro League ever since its promotion in the 2013-2014 season and it is currently placed at the bottom of the table out of 16 teams.
