A game between BetWay Power and JKL Dolphins tipped off the men’s Tusker Lite National Basketball League semi final best of five playoffs at the MTN Indoor Arena, Lugogo.

The five-time champions survived the early scare as they came from behind to emerge winners of game on 64-57 score.

Power’s sloppiness in the first quarter made them trail behind as Dolphins enjoyed a 20-17 lead. The Entebbe based side continued to press hard on the tipped title contender Power hence heading to the locker rooms at halftime with their heads up since they maintained their 33-27 lead.

At tip off the second in particular the third quarter, Power seemed to have tactically changed their approach of the game from zonal marking to man to man strategy. This made them overturn the results in their favour 45-42 by the end of the quarter. Thanks to Joseph Ikong and Stephen Wundi’s exceptional display.

By the end of the final quarter, Power was enjoying its 7points lead as the highly contested game end 64-57. Power now lead the series 1-0 though they have only a day to refresh for game two that is due tomorrow Sunday at the Lugogo Arena.
