Museveni Offers Shs200m and a Chartered Plane to take Cranes to Lesotho as he demands for better results

As Uganda celebrated her Independence yesterday, President Museveni decided to host the Uganda Cranes team and FUFA officials for dinner at State House, Entebbe.

The Cranes are in a residential camp ahead of Saturday’s AFCON Qualifier tie with Lesotho at Namboole stadium.

The President boosted the camp with as he announced his offer of a chartered flight to fly the Cranes to Maseru, Lesotho for the reverse fixture against Lesotho to be played on Tuesday, October 16 and an additional Shs200m.

“I have been following you of recent and I thank you for the performance but we need to work harder for better results. I have offered you a chartered plane to Lesotho and UGX 200M to help you get good results,” Museveni said. 

Speaking on behalf of the players, team captain Denis Onyango appreciated the President and the First Lady Janet Museveni (Minister of Education and Sports) for the recent support towards the Cranes and football.
