On a rare note, current affairs analyst Tamale Mirundi has drifted away from politics and  weighed in on Uganda Cranes’ weekend qualification in the 2019 Afcon finals.

Firstly, Mirundi described Fufa President Moses Magogo as a ‘lucky man’ saying; “Magogo took over the federation when former president Lawrence Mulindwa has fought all the battles.”

Despite congratulating Cranes for making it to Afcon finals again, the motor-mouthed analyst said qualification is one step and the recent jubilations are not necessary.

“We are now used to qualification; our main target must now be winning the trophy. We can’t be jubilating to an extent of lifting the coach just because of qualification,” Mirundi said.

“As parents we educate our children not to seat UNEB but to be able to get or do best jobs. The main issue for the Cranes now is not to represent our flag in Afcon but rather to come back with the trophy.”

On Sunday, an 18-man squad of the Cranes travelled to Nigeria and will today be playing a friendly game.
